Are you looking for a way to give back in your community?
Lund Family Center may have just the opportunity for you! With our widespread programs throughout Chittenden County, we are always looking for motivated and engaged volunteers to help us in our mission to help children thrive. Please look through the exciting volunteer opportunities listed below. If you are interested in volunteering, you can also fill out the form found here and send it to Mandy Sugrue. Please note that Lund Family Center requires background checks for volunteers, this process can take up to two weeks to be completed.

Office
- Mailing Helper – provide assistance in folding, stuffing, sealing, and stamping envelopes for a large mailing. Great for groups, pairs, or individuals!
- Transition Program Office Assistant – provide office and filing support to Transition Services Coordinator 5 hours per week. Cannot be a current or former Reach Up participant.
- Development Office Assistant – provide support to busy Development department through clerical, organizational, and data entry tasks.
Cleaning/Outdoor Work
- Seasonal Outdoor Maintenance Worker – Seasonal workers to provide raking, pruning, planting and basic grounds keeping duties in the early spring and late fall.
One-Time Events
Lund holds events throught the year and need volunteers to help with set-up/ break-down, registration, food service, childcare, basic event support, etc.
- Lund 2nd Annual Mother's Day Bike Ride- On Sunday, May 9th, 2010 from 8am-2pm Lund will need volunteers for course monitoring, trailing/lead bikers, registration, rest stop set-up, and more. If you are a postive person, who loves the outdoors, and want to be involved in a great event this is the volunteer opportunity for you! - Mad Hatter's Tea & Bubbly- On Sunday, June13th,2010 from 3pm-6pm Lund will need volunteers for food service, child entertainment, decorating, and more. If you are interested in fun role-playing and tea parties we would love to have you on board!
Direct Service
- Childcare Assistant – provide care to children ages two weeks to three years in a supervised setting and promote child development through accredited childcare program. Time commitment required.
- Caregiver – provide care to children ages two weeks to five years whose mothers are enrolled in Residential department programs and promote the development of children while the mother engages in structured programming during the day in a therapeutic setting. Time commitment required.
- Activity/Class Leader – lead a group or class in a specified activity or curriculum. Group may include adolescents, adults, children, or all. May be in any department. Great for groups, pairs, or individuals!
