Our goal is to foster a positive empowering environment for our participants in order to assist them in recognizing and working through the emotional obstacles they may be facing that are keeping them from reaching their true potential. All treatments are individually focused to the needs of our clients.
The Residential Treatment Program offers an array of comprehensive mental health support and services to our participants in order to meet their specific emotional needs. A staff psychologist provides consultation, supervision, and oversight of our mental health services. In addition, the Clinical Coordinator Manages and supervises the Clinical staff, programming, and admissions into the program. The clinical staff is equipped to deal with a myriad of mental health issues.
The women we serve have a range of mental health issues including:
- Adjustment Disorders
- Anxiety
- Domestic violence
- Depression
- Past trauma
- Personality Disorders.
- Generalized Stress
- Substance abuse disorders
- Post partum depression
- Eating disorders
Young women are assigned a clinical social worker upon admission at Lund.
Mental Health services provided are:
- Individualized Psychotherapy
- Mental Status Exams
- Couples and family counseling
- Group therapy
- Case management services
- Crisis Intervention
Clinical social workers offer therapeutic groups dealing with a range of issues including
- Self esteem
- Anger management
- Grief and loss
- Trauma issues
- Body image
- Healthy relationships
- Mood management
- Bullying
- Parenting options
- Support Groups
- Coping Skills
- Curriculums are geared towards the unique issues facing this population. An eclectic number of Treatment modalities are utilized in individual therapy including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Stages of Change; Solution focused therapy, family systems theory, psychodynamic theory and cognitive behavioral therapy to meet the individual needs of our clients.
If a higher level of care is deemed appropriate during placement we refer out to community day treatment programs or inpatient psychiatric/substance abuse facilities to stabilize the client.
A significant number of young women we serve are dealing with co-occurring disorders as well. Our Clinical Social Workers work closely with our Substance Abuse Clinicians regarding the unique treatment needs and interventions needed with women struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
