Parent Education
The Lund Family Center’s Residential and Community Treatment (LRCT) offers daily parenting classes to residential and community families. LRCT recruits professionals, both inside and outside the agency, to come in and teach about topics such as:
- Child development
- Nurturing and basic care
- Playing with your child
- Nutrition
These small group settings provide the tools for women and families to support the optimal development of their children. Fathers and/or partners are encouraged to attend. If you’re looking for more individualized teachings, three full time parent educators are available to work with you regarding specific parenting goals and identified needs.

A supervised play lab is available onsite to provide opportunities to promote attachment relationships of child and parent/s. Residential and community families may also utilize the lab to work with staff around specific parenting goals.
