As one of three Chittenden County parent child centers, Lund Family Center delivers a continuum of services in the most accessible way possible to children and families throughout the county. In addition to what is offered through Adoption and Residential and Community Treatment, Lund Family Center offers the following family support services:
The Early Childhood program for infants and toddlers is a childcare center that is licensed by the State of Vermont and maintains the highest standing within Vermont's STARS accreditation program. It offers professional caring staff and play-based activities that encourage healthy child development. Low-income families qualify for a State childcare subsidy.
Through the Home-Based Family Support program, professionally trained family educators offer case management, information and referral, and family education in the comfort of a family’s home. The family educators work as a team with the family to identify and build upon the family’s assets to improve their quality of life.
Lund Family Center operates a Reach Up welfare-to-work program to help young mothers to develop the skills and resources necessary to move from public dependence to self-sufficiency.
