Post-Adoption Services
Through experience with thousands of adoptive families we’ve learned that the joys, challenges and emotional intensity of adoption don’t end with the completion of the legal process.
This is especially true for children who are physically, emotionally or developmentally challenged, and those who have been in foster care for many years before finding a forever family.
Building a family takes on-going work and commitment. Lund Family Center's nationally recognized adoption program is here to support adoptive families through this lifelong process.
Lund Family Center’s specialized post-adoption services for all family members include:
- Case coordination
- Counseling
- Information and referral
- Advocacy
- Help with school and community issues
- Respite support
- Behavioral consultation
- Activity groups for adopted children
Lund Family Center offers a wide range of services to all children and families, including parent education workshops, home visiting, childcare, preschools and playgroups.
Our post-adoption staff work with adopted children: helping your family with transition and growth, and with adoptive parents, offering support, information and referral. Services are available to families regardless of their ability to pay.
