Lund Family Center is seeking motivated, flexible and dynamic individuals who embrace our core values and can work collaboratively with a team of professionals for the following positions:
Adoption Services
- Post Adoption Case Manager: Full-time 40 hour per week position providing face-to-face case management and referral services for adopted children and children adopted through the state foster care system. Duties include parent education/ support and advocacy for families struggling with normative adoption challenges and trauma-based concerns. Position entails extensive travel throughout Vermont including Franklin, Grand Isle, Rutland, and Washington counties. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. BSW REQUIRED; licensure and adoption experience preferred. Strong computer, organizational, paperwork, and time management skills a must. Candidate must be able to work with a diverse population.
Development Office
- Development Associate responsible for the maintenance of accurate and detailed donor information in our Raiser’s Edge database, coordinating hard copy files, and managing Convio online fundraising database. Manage, maintain and improve LFC website, produce monthly newsletter, secure and track in-kind donations. Must have an interest in event management, emerging social marketing techniques and an affinity for our mission to help children and families thrive are essential. Position is full-time.
Residential Services
- Family Educator: Full-time position working within multi-disciplinary team providing support/education to young pregnant and parenting women, individual parent education, parenting classes, access to resources, collaboration with community providers, and observation, documentation, and assessment of parenting skills. Looking for strong candidate with knowledge of child development, excellent writing/oral communication skills, flexibility and creativity, and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must have experience working with teens, children, and families.
- Teacher: Full-time Vermont-certified secondary education teacher needed to provide academic and life skills coursework to pregnant/parenting adolescents within a therapeutic treatment program. Teacher will focus on multi-level student language arts and social studies skills, but will also provide High School Completion Plan support and GED preparation when needed. Ability to address multiple learning styles within a student-centered educational setting is crucial. Candidate must have experience with managing adolescent behaviors, individualizing education and working independently in an organized manner.
- Shift Supervisor: Full-time Shift Supervisor needed for residential treatment program serving pregnant and/or parenting young women and their children. Responsibilities include supervision of staff and milieu management. The successful candidate will be able to provide life skill and parenting support to young women that are receiving treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues. Leadership skills and experience working in a residential setting are desired. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human services related field and experience working with young women and children required. Supervisory skills, adaptability, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication skills preferred.
- Awake Overnight Residential Counselor: Full-time counselor needed for awake overnight shifts to provide parenting and life skill support to pregnant and/or parenting women and their children in residential treatment setting and in independent living program. Minimum of Bachelor's degree in relevant field needed; experience working with adolescents and flexibility a must.
