Holiday Giving Program
Lund Family Center staff and the families we serve invite you to join our Holiday Giving Program this season. The year continues to be challenging for so many people and we are grateful to you for advancing our mission to help children thrive.
This year, we strongly encourage you to donate gift cards that will be used as:
- Holiday gifts;
- Year round presents to acknowledge client birthdays, graduation from our New Horizon’s High School Program, and successful completion of programs including smoking cessation and GED training;
- Back-up support for the work we do annually at Lund from transporting clients to doctor appointments, toubleshooting family emergencies to teaching effective budgeting and smart shopping skills.
Your gifts will make it a better holiday season for so many and help us provide support and services to children and families throughout the year. Gift cards give parents the gift of being able to shop for their children for the holidays. For women and children who live at Lund during the holidays, and for a limited number of community clients who would otherwise not receive any gifts, we have attached a general wish list to match donations with specific requests expressed by clients.
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Gift cards in increments of $25 allow the greatest flexibility.
- We may only accept new gifts; please do not donate used or gently used items.
- Please do not wrap the gift cards or presents. We need to sort gifts and match each present with the proper family before we wrap gifts.
- Please write the gift card amount on the card and attach a receipt. If you wish to provide gift wrap or ribbons, we would be grateful for your donation.
- To confirm your donation and ensure proper acknowledgement for tax purposes, please contact Alex Brady at 802-861-2585 or alexb@lundfamilycenter.org,no later than December 3, 2010 to participate in this year’s holiday gift program.
- Please drop off or mail all gift cards to our Hallam location behind Shaw’s Supermarket on Route 7, no later than: Friday December 10, 2011. Our physical address is: 38 Eastwood Drive, 3rd Floor, South Burlington, VT 05403. The mailing address is: PO Box 4009 Burlington, VT 05401.
