The following are employment opportunities available with Lund Family Center:

Residential & Community Treatment

Residential Counselor:  Full-time.  Two positions available, one for awake,overnight shifts and one for evening shifts.  Counselor will provide parenting and life skill support to pregnant and/or parenting women and their children.  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field needed; experience working with adolescents and flexibility a must.

Independence Place Residential Counselor:  27 hour per week position.  Counselor will provide parenting and like skill support to pregnant and/or parenting young women through transitional living program.  Position includes sleeping overnight shifts and weekend shifts.  Minimum Bachelor's degree in human service related field.  Experience working with adolescents and flexibility a must.

Administrative Assistant:  Full-time.  Major responsibilities include office management, scheduling, typing, file management, database management, research and project development, and general administration duties.  Relevant office experience, strong organization and interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency required.

Substance Abuse Counselor: Full-time.  Counselor needed for outpatient treatment program for pregnant and parenting women. Minimum of Master’s degree in a social work, counseling, or human services related field and Licensure or certification in substance abuse treatment.  Experience working with women and children a must.  Position will work directly with the local child welfare office.

Substance Abuse Case Manager: Full-time and part-time positions available.  Case Manager needed to provide substance abuse treatment referral, coordination, monitoring, and wrap-around services to young pregnant and parenting women.  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or human services related field and Apprentice Substance Abuse Counselor Certificate or the ability to test for certification within three months of hire date.  Experience working with women and children, and knowledge of community resources preferred. 

Teacher:  Full-time.  Vermont-certified secondary education teacher needed to provide academic and life skills coursework to pregnant and/or parenting adolescents within a therapeutic treatment program.  Teacher will focus on multi-level student math and science skills, but will also provide Act 176 High School Graduation Plan support.   Ability to address multiple learning styles within a student-centered educational setting is crucial.  Candidate must have experience with managing adolescent behaviors, individualizing education and working independently in an organized manner.  Please include three letters of reference.

Nurse:  Full-time.  Evening Shifts 2:00-10:00p.m.  Nurse needed to serve pregnant and parenting young women and their children within residential treatment setting.  Applicants should have a desire to work on a multidisciplinary team that is fast paced and challenging.  Lund Family Center provides holistic approaches to healthy living and embraces a strengths based perspective.  Nursing credentials required.

Database Coordinator:  Part-time 20 hours per week.  Coordinator will conduct and oversee data collection and maintain database for residential and outpatient treatment programs for pregnant and parenting women.  Minimum of Bachelors degree in social work or human service related field with experience in conducting surveys/collecting from clients /evaluating data/treatment outcomes as well as computer skills.

Adoption

Administrative Assistant: Part-time.  Major responsibilities include answering phones, communication with clients, staff, and vendors, scheduling, typing, and general administrative duties.  Relevant office experience, strong organization and interpersonal skills, and computer experience preferred.

Business Office

Administrative Assistant: Temporary, Full-time.  Major responsibilities include answering phones, communication with clients, staff, and vendors, scheduling, typing, and general administrative duties.  Relevant office experience, strong organization and interpersonal skills, and computer experience preferred.

Development Office

Development Associate:  Full-time.  Great opportunity to join a dynamic development team.  Major responsibilities include: assisting with all aspects of capital and annual fundraising, preparation of reports, management of donor information, assisting in events management, prospect research, donor stewardship, agency representation and information dissemination.  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in human services related field or equivalent experience.  Experience in fundraising databases and grant writing preferred.
