Lund Family Center’s Adoption Department is highly skilled in coordinating waiting child placements and in 2000, partnered with the State of Vermont Department for Children and Families to create the Project Family program to find permanent adoptive families for children waiting in the foster care system. In 2004, Project Family found homes for 217 children aged 5-17 who had been in the foster care system for years, often in multiple placements.
